S8 (Gen2) is the 2nd generation of ATOTO S8 Android car stereos. Its Soc applies a 12nm manufacturing process (higher efficiency, lower consumption), ARM Cortext Octa-Core processor (High performance), and the latest ATOTO AICE UI 11.0 (deep customization on Android Q). New ATOTO S8 can bring confidence and satisfaction under various operations. 3 options are available for internet access - Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth & USB Tethering (Traditional Android car stereos only have Wi-Fi option).
Speed Compensated Volume Control (SCVC)-Automatically adjusting S8's system volume as the vehicle speed changes to compensate for the road&wind noise. Users can put memorable photos in the specified gallery folder and let them play automatically on S8's HD screen with only a tap. S8 enables 6 touch gestures supporting a 2-fingers/3-fingers tap to enter the multi-task menu quickly, switch between preset 9 EQ modes, adjust the screen brightness, etc., which improve operation safety during driving.
Dual Bluetooth (BT1 5.0 & BT2 4.1) allow S8 to have multi-connections with phone and BT devices meanwhile. BT2 can connect to a phone Bluetooth to get internet or Bluetooth OBD2 device to scan or read engine codes. BT1 works as Bluetooth Handsfree & A2DP audio, and helps wake up the phone's voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant) and lock/unlock screen to protect personal privacy. S8 supports wired Android Auto & CarPlay, besides, wireless CarPlay is supported since September 1st, 2021.
S8(Gen2) Standard works with the ATOTO AC-HD02LR or AC-HD03LR (with Virtual Surround View) camera to show HD rearview image, with a Live RearView (LRV) - Access rearview even if your vehicle is moving ahead. This could remove obstructions caused by passengers, headrests, and the roof & rear pillars, increasing the field of view (the lanes behind and common blind spots). The 178��full-viewing angle IPS display screen with higher contrast substantially improves the viewing experience in daylight.
The 8-inch floating display part stands out from its single din base allowing users to adjust the height and view angles (up or down). For VERY few vehicles, the edge of the 8-inch display may block the air vent, car emergency switch button, or other buttons, resulting in inconvenient operation. Make sure yours won��t have such problems. Get continued firmware updates from ATOTO when available to ensure fewer bugs and get new features.
